Hair.

Did my hair today. Cut my fringe to bangs and trimmed/shortened my ends. My hair looks more tidy now. Going to make a point of combing my hair before heading out lol.

Oh let me recount to you the trials and tribulations I encountered to get this hair. FML
I went to this salon in FEP to cut my hair. It was recommended by my mum and said to be cheap and nice. I also wanted to dip dye my hair with bright colours like blue or purple. Went into the salon then I realized they don't have such colours, they only have brown, orange and stuff. So I settled for just a haircut.

After the haircut, I went to another salon and told them I want to dye the ends of my hair purple. My mum and I chose a darker purple for fear that my hair would be too bright. The hairdresser then bleached my hair twice, which took at least 45mins. Still my hair didn't reach the platinum blonde standard, it became gold. The hairdresser then decided that it was enough and proceeded to apply the purple dye. First round no effect and it looks like I never dyed my hair so she applied the purple dye another time. After blow-drying my hair, they realized that there was no colour at all!! Cus the purple dye they used was too dark.

I went back to my mum and she complained to the hairdresser. The hairdresser re-did my hair. She lightened my hair first, and it reverted back to the bleached gold colour and she dyed my hair magneta, which is like red. She says it's kind of impossible for me to dye purple cus the colour would never come out.

Total time taken : 5 hours

Haizx, wished I chose a brighter colour or they bleached my hair lighter. But what's done been done so I have to stick to boring red and it isn't even striking :((( Spent so much $$$ some more. Last time I'll dye my hair!!

Before I knew it, I typed so much already! Since I spent so much time at the salon today, I'm going to stay up late to finish some of the sponsorship stuffs

Camp & Books

Books I've read since the holidays. Currently reading the third book, Mockingjay of the Hunger Games trilogy. It's touted as the next Harry Potter. I think the plot loses to Harry Potter but it's quite un-put-downable. Cus the plot is like forever exciting, Katniss the protagonist is always in danger. Hunger games is kinda like a reflection of the current state of all societies. How the rich are more ambitious and more powerful and hence get more ahead while those who are poor starves and loses :(

Fortune's Formula was interesting cus it's about stocks and gambling. The book mentioned some of the finance concepts that I learnt during the sem and I think it's quite useful!

The Bernie Madoff book was ultra boring cus it was just about how Madoff got his funds to operate his Ponzi scheme but I can say that I know how the finance world works better after reading the book. I skipped certain sections cus there were just too many feeder funds and the writer went off to like illustrate all?

Just came back from camp two days ago and I came back dead tired. The camp was fun and I miss the company I had in camp. Huimin and Tangjie are so funny and we spent time either talking crap or late night HTHT. I missed playing the ZR though even though I'm quite cuiii. I can't wait for my term to be over after the camp cus I discovered some stuffs which makes me upset. But it's okay cus I know nothing can change it and all I want to do now is to do my best and complete my term, as both SS and concert comm.

Felt strong motivation to practise ZR after camp. Hopefully I will cus the songs are really difficult! So fast!! :((

I was feeling upset yesterday cus I finished the HK drama, Lives of Omission and the good people in the show did not end up good :(( To cheer myself up, I went to watch old episodes of Xiaxue's guide to life. Damn random but it did make me feel better cus most of the episodes were quite funny. I also saw how Xiaxue photoshopped her pictures and I decided to try it.

Does it look normal? I have flawless skin in the picture on the right! Removed all my freckles + pimples. I  made L's chin look shorter as well. LOL

Over exams

After L finished his exams, we met up to watch 那些年，我们一起追的女孩 and it was very nice. Humourous and sad :( I really liked this phrase 

人生很多事本來就是徒勞無功的呀(但是還是要去做...)

Really hit me hard and it's true... :(

Went to Aston's for dinner. They opened a new outlet at iluma. We wanted to walk to this place that serves indothai food, but it was drizzling so we decided to go somewhere more convenient.

My awesome looking grilled fish with herb!! I like their potato salad and I feel that it's their best side dish. It's like a habit already, I'll just order whatever mains with pasta and potato salad. Even though I like their fish, I think that they tend to over grill it sometimes. It will taste bitter, which is the case for today. Thankfully it's only chaota for some parts.

Before Aston's we went to Starbucks to chill for awhileeee

My detachable ring. Bought this ring from korea and it's the second time the flower is detaching from the ring :( After we left Starbucks, I flicked my hand while talking to L and it flew out. Thank goodness we were able to find flower part on the floor

Me with centre parting, been wanting to change my parting for awhile but I don't know if it looks nice. L says I look better with side parting though :(
Pimples galore

Toffee Nut Frappe and Peanut butter stack! The best cake in Starbucks I shall say! (esp if you have a sweet tooth) going to miss toffee nut after xmas :(

Life isn't very relaxing after exams. I have letters to write, thank goodness I have some templates from last year and all I need to do is to edit. Plus I want to find an internship next summer so gotta write cover letters and resume :(

Revived!

Just did a new header and it sucks, but I'm too tired to try to change it.

I know my blog is kinda dead, but from today onwards, it would be alive!! Cus my exams are over. That leaves me with about 5 weeks of my long awaited holiday!

Books, YouTube, HK dramas and ZR will keep me company.

Now I just want to stay at home and slack around for awhile.

Okay more next time, need to crash.

Hiatus

Sorry for my long hiatus.

I was busy with school work and today I feel very frustrated with what I have to do.
University is really a new level of stress, it's like "A" levels stress x 1000000 times. The deadlines, the assignments, the level of thinking you have to do to get it right pushes me to the limit. Sometimes I just feel like giving up cus it's just too hard, too much effort.

Yet I'm holding on because I want to get my degree.

I guess university is training me to handle high stress and do critical thinking that is prevalent in the working world, and not managerial accounting or finance stuffs.

I know at the end I'll come out of it being stronger emotionally. But this process just sucks.

Yep, now I shall go back to entrepreneurship.
